These notes describe a refit as a general process. They are not a claim about a particular yacht, a price, or a result. The management role they sit under is Superyacht Project Management in Asia, for programmes in Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The Thailand branch is at Ocean Marina, Thailand.
Refit spec and tender
A refit specification is the written list of work that yards are asked to price. In general, it follows a condition survey of the vessel, so the tender describes the yacht as found rather than a guess. Yards price that same document. The comparison is then like-for-like. This note does not set a form of contract, a markup, or a rule that every line must be priced. It describes the step. The owner's project manager keeps the specification with the rest of the programme.

Yard selection
Yard selection, in a general refit process, is the owner's choice after quotes have been read against one specification. Access, the slot, the skills the scope needs, and the yard's own rules all sit in that reading. Yacht Refit Asia coordinates the yard the owner selects. It does not publish a ranked list of yards, and it does not name a yard on this page. Bangkok Dock is a published project site in Thailand and is described on the Thailand page, not as a recommendation here. The branch at Ocean Marina, Thailand, is an office, not a shipyard.

Budget control
Budget control, in general, means the cost of the written scope is tracked by the project manager from the tender through to redelivery. Changes are written against the specification so the owner can see what moved. This page publishes no prices, no rates and no sample budgets. A figure for a yacht is agreed on that yacht's specification, not copied from another programme.

Class and flag liaison
Class and flag liaison is the paperwork that travels with the work: surveys, reports and the documents the appointed society and the flag ask for. On programmes Yacht Refit Asia manages, class follows RINA, Lloyd's Register and Bureau Veritas, and class liaison includes ABS. The society on a given vessel is the one appointed for that vessel. This note does not transfer class, and it does not claim that a society has accepted work that the programme has not recorded.

Sea trials
Sea trials, where a specification includes them, are the check of completed work while the vessel is under way, before the owner takes the yacht back. What is tried, and for how long, is part of that specification. This page does not publish a standard trial script, a distance, or a result from a named yacht. If trials are not in the specification, they are not assumed.

Warranty work
Every refit and repair programme managed by Yacht Refit Asia carries a written workmanship warranty. An approved system also keeps the guarantee its manufacturer gives. Warranty work, in general, is the return to an item that the written warranty covers, against the specification that was agreed. This page does not state a period in months, and it does not describe a claim on a particular yacht. The warranty that applies is the one written for that programme.

Crew handover
Crew handover, in a general refit process, is the point where the owner's crew receives the vessel, the close-out papers and an explanation of what was done. It follows the specification and the end of the work that specification listed. This page does not describe a particular handover, a crew list, or a checklist beyond that. The papers are the ones the programme produced: specification, reports, and class and flag documents where those were part of the work.
