Superyacht Project Management in Asia

Yacht Refit Asia is the owner's project manager for superyacht refit across Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The company plans the work, writes the specification, compares yard quotes, and coordinates contractors, suppliers and Class surveyors through to delivery. The owner keeps one team when the vessel moves between places and between these countries.

Singapore is the head office at 336 Smith Street, #05-303, New Bridge Centre, Singapore 050336. Thailand is the Ocean Marina, Thailand branch. Vietnam work is in Haiphong, with the work delivered under contract through the Thai company, Yacht Refit Asia Co., Ltd. The country pages set out those addresses. This page sets out the management work itself.

The Singapore head office telephone is +65 8401 2442. The Thailand branch telephone is +66 (0)80 829 0122. Email is info@yachtrefitasia.com.

Refit Planning & Specification

Condition surveys, written specifications and tendering, so every yard quote is like-for-like and every budget is controlled from day one.

  • Pre-refit condition surveys
  • Written specifications for tender
  • Yard quote comparison
  • Dry dock coordination

Across yards, for the owner

A programme starts with a pre-refit condition survey and a written specification. Yards are asked to price that specification so the comparison is like-for-like. Dry dock coordination covers the slot, the docking plan and daily yard liaison, inside the same budget and schedule. Quality control and Class and flag documentation stay with the project manager until redelivery.

Class on these refits follows RINA, Lloyd's Register and Bureau Veritas. Class liaison includes ABS.

Published places are Singapore, where Yacht Refit Asia is an authorised main contractor for superyacht refit works from 2026; Ocean Marina, Thailand; Phuket, Thailand; and Haiphong, Vietnam. The office in Thailand is the Ocean Marina branch.

Published programmes include a 76.6 m explorer yacht refit in progress in Singapore. The published scope is a hull and superstructure refit, with an Awlgrip finish. Fairing is nearly complete and the project is running ahead of schedule. Delivery is April 2027. A 55 m motor yacht was a refit project in Singapore in 2025. A 40.8 m Benetti had works under RINA in Singapore in 2025. The first of three newbuild 33 m superyachts is in Haiphong. The case studies page carries these Singapore programmes, then Thailand and Vietnam.

Refit process

The general steps are written separately, without a claim about a particular contract: refit spec and tender, yard selection, budget control, class and flag liaison, sea trials, warranty work, and crew handover. Each of those notes links back to this page.
